Unfortunately, though, it can be difficult to save money on office furniture. Unless, of course, your company decides to use self storage, instead.

When they do not use self storage, the way most businesses choose to open a branch office or move their current office can waste a lot of money. Instead of playing it smart with self storage, companies simply sell off their old office furniture and cubicles, and buy it all again when they get to their new location. And while this may seem simpler than self storage, the truth is that it is not.

You might be wondering how on earth to get the pod to your home. You may worry about having to rent a huge truck to haul the pod to your home. This is something you won’t have to think about, because pod storage companies delivery the pod to you. Even if you move more than once with your pod, often these companies will relocate your pod either for free, or for a nominal fee.

One might believe that this kind of portable storage is expensive.

Every time I have moved, I needed to store things at some point during the process. When I was in college, my parents had a storage unit and I ended up ditching lots of things there every time I moved. I would come home for summer or winter break and, inevitably, put more stuff in there. I do not remember, however, ever bringing things back to college from the storage unit. I hired professional movers when I moved to the East Coast to go to grad school, and I scheduled a pick up there for those items I assumed I surely could not live without.
